What's the deal with the picture not being shrunk in the library? Am I the only one that sees this?
-
An insanely huge picture I guess? It may have even been a PNG with a transparency background that made things flip out? Who knows!?
-

fixed :)

What was wrong?
-

Not sure. I guess there was some problem with the file header which defines the dimension of the image.

Have kidrobot made anything else with this base? All I see is broccoli ears! :P
-
I would've thought that the broccoli looking bits would be like ear sized chef's hats... they look like them. Could make an amusing custom :)
-

Anyone else struggling to get the ears/splosions into the sockets?

-

This guy is great. Only have the clear pink one but need the others!
-

He's very trippy, love him.
I like the clear pink one too. I think they are going to be tricky to find. -

I happened upon the blue one too, but I will probably have to be happy with that! Such small runs.

These guys are pretty easy to get a hold of back in Japan though. Problem is Kaijin just isn't really worried about selling to the overseas audience. He mentioned to me that he's more interested in sticking to the home market. That's why he has never had any overseas releases. Mandarake almost always has a couple kicking around their online shop if you are willing to pay for overseas shipping. They basically charge real cost for EMS postage.

Why did I not know this store existed O_O Didn't see any Tiruru right now, but found a couple other things I needed...thanks for the heads up!

What makes you say that :P

the tank one is awsome! :D
Bandai is great because they make cheap, quality toys, something american companies haven't really learned... -
13 years ago
Yeah dinotank is a laugh!
I think its more of a market strategy. I believe they know children are not the only consumers and invest in a higher quality toy production for the Japanese release. As even bandai release "lower quality" toys in America.

I love how grumpy this guy looks! :-D
man, there is *no* creature design the Japanese haven't thought of!
"how about a a porcopine creature with, like, weird algae growing from it's back and ostrich legs?"
"stick his arms up the front like a T-rex and I'm sold" -

I am trying to upload more! I have a whole bunch of stuff that isn't on the site and I have NO idea what they are called or who the artist was..... I might have to put a photo dump on a forum and ask people to name them if they can!

Should it say somewhere that this one is a Ultraman monster?
-
Daikaijyu = Ultra monster
As there are multiple ultraman series they just release these monsters under their own "label" -
13 years ago
Ok, I am going to change the series to "Ultraman Daikaijyu"
I don't think there is a need to specify what individual series they first appeared in. Especially considering this these are not the original 60/70 bullmark releases.

I have this guy somewhere, but the paint is different and I don't think there's any articulation. I guess this is a reissue, because I bought a ton of these things back in the late '80s/early '90s. I wish I knew more about them.
-
Yeah this is the newest release of the "TV version" Bemstar, if you got yours in the 80s/90s it may have been a re-issue of an even earlier version! Does it say Bullmark on its foot?!
It doesn't exactly have articulation, its just not possible to rotocast as one piece so they are construction joints. The arms are still moveable but kinda pointless as its flush against another surface.
Since 2007 they have released some redesigned "realistic" versions but this is what it looked like in the show. Each figure also comes with a card for the Daikaiju carddass arcade game.

it is there, its only integrated with the latest library updates on the front page.
There is a drop down selection from the toy library tab up the top that will show the custom section. If you go to the normal toy library you will not see any customs (that have been tagged as customs)
To add to the custom section, not the main library, you make the type tag "custom"
