What is the quantity on these? The newer variants are listed as quantity of 200. While the Ghost seeker is at 150.
-
The Ghost Seeker is only 100 pieces, and 50 of them were sold through Hi-Fructose. The other 50 are reserved for full sets that will be offered only through Bigshot Toyworks with additional items from Jeff.
Quantity on the blue (Water Seeker) is 200, with 50 reserved for the full sets. -

How do you get hold of the full set?
-
The full sets will be available direct through www.bigshottoystore.com. Full sets will include all 8 color variants, a copy of Jeff's "Storm Clouds" book, and a few other items that we're locking down details for now. Announcement and pre-orders coming as soon as everything is squared away!

Skull kinda looks like Murray -
Is that bubble gum, I thought it was a whoopee cushion lol!
-
Hah no it is unrelated to MI, it is a character from the comic Goats. That would be over-sized novelty bacon, a satanic woopie cushion, the Necronomicon (2nd edition) and a plain ole skull (Murray? ;). PS you can take off the chicken's head and put the skull on instead.

Is this a clear red vinyl or is that some awesome red chrome paint on its face?
-
I believe it's a clear red vinyl spray painted.
This figure is rad! I missed on other Mongolions, but this one is a must-have! -
13 years ago
It is clear red vinyl. It's meant to compliment the Burning Anger Stomp, and is traditional Chinese colors of red, gold and teal.

Made by a local artist back in 2008. Sadly she only did a small run. This was her first toy based off of her artwork. I was lucky enough get one.
-

Simple and lovely ! How lucky you are !
-

Yeah that is why I love it! It has a cute little painted tail also! I have a few pieces of her artwork, I would like her to do more toys soon.
-

Size is 1.1 inches
I originally put in 25mm (measured wrong) but its rather small and that adds to its cuteness. -

Woah! Customs are serious business!
In my "view" of what a custom is:
It is a custom as its using the original sculpt as an artistic platform and not released as an official series.
Also 4 (currently) own this figure but how many versions were made of this exact config? -
13 years ago
In that case:
Quantity should be 1, title name left the same with a commentary note about 60 released in the series.
If 4 people own it, it would be great to see each version! -
13 years ago
Why not?!
I am not saying it should be a policy for people to have to upload pictures of their variants, they can use another entry (such as this one) and add a commentary if anything.
They are still individual pieces, personally I love this variant pictured above compared to the one linked. I really am interested in seeing them all.
What is your view on the multiple entries of Spray 2-V2? Do things change that much with its various colours?

I don't think there should be a "policy" either way.
If people are happy to say they own a variant that isn't 100% like their own, that's fine and it would be good to see linked images or commentaries about their version. On the other hand, if someone uploads their variant, that is also fine.
Otherwise you have the whole debate about what % of variation is considered for an individual entry and what entry should be used.
I like the variant pictured here, yet I dislike the linked variation. You can't pick one of these two as the series "poster child", neither one should be deleted for being a duplicate. -
13 years ago
Shouldn't we let Sergey decide? It is his site after all.
I'm not to fussed to be honest, as long as we all know how we should be listing our toys, its all good.
I just listed these 2 because I thought they were significantly different enough. -
13 years ago
Here's my 2 cents...
In a custom series, like these or the Spray2-V2 then there should be 1 listed with the number in the series and anyone that has one of this series can mark it has "Have". You can then link to outside pics in the comments where you can show off which one you got.
This way you aren't listing multiples for things that are basically the same. I know the R2's are different in color, but they came from a set release. If you start breaking up a custom series as individuals because there are slight paint variations then this is going to be a huge section filled with tons of almost the same pics. I thought the whole idea was to be able to mark "Have" as a community and see who else is into the same stuff you are and so on.
I'd say get one picture that best represents the series, then mark the quantity and date of release to correspond with how many were sold and when. This way if Dril made another 20 of these later on and they were similar you could have a later release date for the second run.
just a thought. -
Agreed. It would also be awesome if the custom section would allow more than one picture per toy, that way variant images could be listed on the site, rather than having to be linked to.
-
It would be cool to have single page group entries for series. Allowing the image displayed in the library to cycle through uploaded variations (a gif or something)
-
I don't think anyone was saying you were wrong? If its in regards to me? I have never thought your thoughts were forward or picky, just another view and I really enjoy reading them!
A sub image set with a rotating gif would be perfect. Also it would be good for GID figures! -
13 years ago
First off: I love how every gives a damn about the direction of this website!
I agree that a custom set release should be grouped and have multiple images. It would put all the versions on one page which is what i often times crave to see. The reason I uploaded my s2-v2 was because I felt it had enough of a variation. The dril gwins, however, are very minor so I wouldn't take the time to snap a pic if it meant having to create another whole group.
Let's see that custom section get off the ground! -

Hello guys, here's my 2¢.
1. As every custom is unique I believe you can create as many records (images) for custom series as you have/want.
2. Grouping is made by tagging.
"Custom" tag has the same "series" or "issue" tag fields as mini figures, so you can group by adding "series" tag and everyone can see it as "Monster Family", for example — http://rotocasted.com/library... />Unfortunately, at this moment, you cannot sort Customs as Library toys, but we will make it possible soon. You can add series tags right now, though. I did for Gwin Army.
One simple Idea. Do you think it will be good to have "Exhibition" tagging group for Customs to tag specific shows as "Monster Within" customs that was posted recently?
Also, do you think it's necessary to separate Customs counter from the Library counter (http://grab.by/5Ud9) ?
Thank you for all the ideas! -
@sergeySafonov I think "exhibition/show" tagging group would be nice. It will make easier to see pieces from particular show.
Regarding the counter – I think unified counter is enough. -
13 years ago
Sergey has it down packed.
Creating a few extra tag groups will cover it! Other than an exhibition group, what other tag groups would be good?
I don't think its necessary to have a separate counter for customs but it would be neat!

via http://www.flickr.com/photos/... />Yamomark purchased some vintage molds from a factory. The original maker is unknown.
This is a Grumble Toy HP version painted by Chris Bryan of Grumble Toy. The paints are clear pearl's that allow the glow to show through. Yay!

Something about that story makes it really fun. Saved from the clutches of a dusty factory floor to live on once again.

Cost of both this and it's yellow bunny brother inc. shipping fees from the US: £40ish
Sucky customs charges: £17ish
Being able to cross two toys off your wish list that you didn't think would be obtainable: Priceless :D -

:) In the case of many toys, so much more awesome in person!
-

Agreed! Is it just me or does anyone else love having the same mold but in different color ways? Just something about an army of the same figure yet so different that really makes me smile :D
-

Same here, but only for a few selected toys. I can't have enough versions of the Big Pollard by Tim Biskup, for example!
-

Agreed. Like Jumping Brains. I have a right army of them. But having the yellow and blue ones of these had to be done, they're both so gorgeously vibrant :) Need to find some space to display them :)
