This was a special release of Dokuro-san that included the mini Purple vinyl figure. I love that the foil sticker has their faces on it!

Baby Dokuro-San (the purple guy) is a finger puppet.
They actually gave two of those away with each plush purchase at SDCCI. -

Yes. There's also been plenty of others produced in different colors for different promotions with certain companies of the mini dokuro-san. Even the purples were used to promote FEWTURE models by themselves!
But in reference to THIS photo it was a special boxed set, which is extemely rare. You can see the box that they came in together with graphics. -

This is known as the "US Tour" Limited Edition. While it was available at SDCCI, you could also get one at the various signings held throughout the summer. It also glows in the dark.

Rotofugi says it's 5 inches tall and made by Toygraph. Super7 says it's 6 inches tall. Hello Vinyl says it was made by Super7. Anybody got the real scoop?

6" tall. Technically, it's a collaboration between Toygraph (Death Climax) and Super7.

This is not a double entry as there are two Vermillion Brothers. The one above is #2. Unlike the first, this has an unpainted orange lip and horn. This version also has more blue spray around the eye area.

Which one is the "original version" ?

Unless my monitor needs to be severely calibrated (and it may), the one pictured on the Tomopop site is one of the Sepia Ver. Teke-chan cats. There were three different releases of the Sepia version (# 15, #16, and unknown #). The original Teke-chan (#1) has a white vinyl body with dark brown points. The sepia version Teke-chan has a cream body.
There are numerous versions of the cats, each with its own name and relationship to other cats. From what I can tell, it looks like they stopped numbering after 27.
The black cat above is #8. She was released as part of a mother, brother, sister (pink nose) trio.

The one I have is white vinyl. The ones in the image may be a cream?
The cat I have is Teka-chan (Name on the post card packaged with it, sweet draw string packaging)
I believe mine is a re-release as I got it last year and its bell is smaller than images I have seen of its original release.

Hi Miranda, Yes, it's difficult to find information about these cats. Godzilla-ya's never been forthcoming about production numbers but because they are made by US Toys it's safe to assume that the numbers are low. Thankfully there have been several re-releases but it's mostly the main characters: Teke-chan, Rana, or Suzunosuke.

I just bought a version with pink nose, but mine has a touch of pink under the mouth. Is it the same one, or another version ? Or does Canico play with us ? ;o)
