i was sitting 2 hours in front of my computer yesterday and waited for the buy button to pop up (the sale was meant to be yesterday), but they had glitches...i was so pissed off, you don't even know.

i think, my chances to get one yesterday were higher than today! it is weekend now and more people are at home + due the glitch, a lot of other people, who forgot about this are now alerted...

i want this skelve and some other cute items of the sale so bad!

@ TOY: don't break your promise! i know, the skelves are very tempting, but for your relationships sake, either talk to your man about it first and get his permission or leave it, if he is not ok with it.

for some reason i managed to have all my last purchases unnoticed from my man and blended them in in the back of my shelf ;) otherwise i would be in big trouble now, too

what do you think, i did my TOY??!!! it was the most exciting nerve breaking sale for me...this skelve is even 30 minutes after release still available..that is so weird

but i will keep a low profile until i have all 5 items in my hands...not that this ends up like the grey ghost mongo :(

oh no, i did not mean to make you buy one and make your man angry...

i was just wondering, why this very limited piece is still available. i guess, most people went for the "test/custom" toys and then put only one item in their baskets.

just be very very nice to your man later, when you go to bed and make him forget, that you could not keep your promise ;)

Love this piece! But throwing it out there, it is my understanding that only one dunny was used to make a mold to cast the 25, just like the mini tea. Is this an okay thing to do?

Personally I think you should have an original piece per custom rather than a recast if you are going to do a run of customs.

from chatting with Dan I believe there is a full Dunny in each one.
otherwise it would be a bootleg

As MisterQuiche said, I basically make the first piece and mould it. Then I take an actual Dunny and fit it into the mould and cast around it for every single piece.

Definitely customs, not bootlegs :)

Only the original tour version of the Mini tea Cuppa Carbonite was 100% resin (with permission from Matt JOnes), the other versions were customs made in the same way as this Dunny piece.

Not a fan of dunny and avoid buying them but things like this make me really want to change that stance. I hope you will continue through with Carbonite series :)

It is the first time I seriously consider having a Kaws figure (I am actually attracted not necessary by Kaws, but by the Lazzarini interpretation)

This toy is really awesome! Never saw an interest in kaws, but I love how they made their classic toy look like a deflated balloon.

Kawsone.com can suck it. I had a 12 hour advance heads up, and got all three in my cart this morning right at 9am sharp, only to discover that the stupid checkout system doesn't work on my Droid. I was sabotaged by a few pulldown tabs that wouldn't pull down.

I had prepaid them in another store. A bit more, but worth avoiding the hassle. I experimented at kawsone and managed to put the three in my cart, but just two were confirmed at checkout, one was already sold out.
