Picture is different. I'd say the information on this one is more accurate though.

I don't think it should be listed as an action figure considering that it only has 3 point of articulation

We mention duplicates so the mods will trim out extra listings to avoid confusion. The information needs be consolidated to provide better data for collectors. Even though I took the other pic, I don't have a preference for which picture is used, so if you like yours more than the other one I'm sure the mods can keep this one. :D

Mighty Muggs and Mini Muggs are listed as Action Figures because listing them as designer vinyl would cause people's heads to explode like the guy in Scanners. It's not a pretty sight. Hide ya kids, hide ya wife, hide ya husband. XD

But no, seriously, they're listed as action figures because they're mass-produced items and are not considered "designer toys." When people started listing a bunch of figures like Mighty Muggs, Marvel Legends, and so on on a site that had, up until that point, been mainly associated with designer toys, they instituted a new category for things of the like. I personally don't care how they're listed, but I completely understand why people would.

I feel you on the "mass production" argument but "action figures" normally have some action to them. Lets call'em...designer figures...nah, thats a horrible lable...lol. Any suggestions?

    I'd call them a novelty figure/novelty toy.

Works for me. I imagine that could cover a wide range of stuff that is sort of based on the vinyl scene but isn't quite IN the vinyl scene... things like Funkeys and those godawful Blammoid things that DC Direct put out. Could also cover things like capsule toys and trading figures. Good call, vinylgoddess!

Capsule toys? Oh please no. I don't have enough time to start hunting down all my damn gashapon figures to start entering them too ;)

I didn't realize that people on this site were elitists and against the inclusion of toys such as mighty muggs and freak out over calling something an "action figure".

I'm most definitly not an elitist. I have plenty of action figures. I even own the box set that this came in but it just isn't articulated enough to be an"action" figure because it doesnt move.

I'm not stressing the fact that its labled as an action figure, it's more of a technicality...
