I'm unsure about this toy's accuracy. I own the Thundermutt series 14 NYC half, and this figure should be orange; at least mine and the other 99 that were sold that night were orange base with white ink.

weird, maybe I have something very rare here then!?

This series is 14.5, duplicating series 14 but in black and silver. In addition, 30 of 100 of each design included a dollar bill with black ink art/sketch by each artist. Here is a sample: http://i15.photobucket.com/al...

Thats what I love about this site, theres always someone with the info :)
I didn't get a dollar bill, unfortunately. -

I wish I got that one, and a dollar bill haha. This is a pretty cool variant to the series 14 which isn't on here yet ( that I have been able to find).

you can swap/buy mine if you like. I'm not that into them, and have WAY to many toys.

Some of them are flippers :) http://cgi.ebay.com/CoarseToy...
-

I take that back, the blood is from the tears of ebay bidders. $3,350!!!! Damn
-
What really pisses me off about such flippers is not even ridiculous prices they ask, but the fact they sell something they don't even have in hand yet!
-
It would be cheaper to fly over to Rotofugi to buy one in person.
-
I wish I was rich enough to even START flipping. *shakes fists at rich collectors who can afford ridiculous prices*

I never buy from flippers. I'd rather they dry out then get that dream piece for a bloated price from a jerk...

I bought one of these at the Roto show and I had to sacrifice a few meals for it! Well worth it, in my opinion, for an amazing resin figure by the Coarse team.

There is an interesting story behind this figure. When it was originally produced in 2006 for a Tim Biskup show in Spain, they quickly realized it had huge QC issues. Basically, they issued a recall of the toy, and provided a silver replacement to anyone who sent back the gold one.
A small hole was drilled into the foot of the gold one in order to prevent "clever" people from continuing to send it back in order to get extra silver ones.
I must admit that neither piece has the greatest QC, though the gold one is worse. That said, I actually prefer the dark green color, which turned out here instead of the gold. This figure is really a nice, two-tone green. You might not know it was ever supposed to even be gold, except there are a few gold splotches on the back of mine. The other issue is that you can see the stripes through the eyes and mouth.
Other than that, the figure articulates just fine. It can sit or stand or stack with the silver one. The boxes are true Tim Biskup. I'm glad to have added this set to my collection. It's one of my TB favorites.
I got mine from Neon Monster, where there are a couple more sets for sale: http://neonmonster.com/NeonMo... -

Speaking of QC issues ... mine actually has an extra mouth printed on the back of his head (not kidding).

Dan, so did you pre-order Vinyl & Co? I am eagerly waiting your review of the movie (I am really curious about that documentary, but I don't like Tibisho that much. So I'll just wait for the DVD to become available unbundled)

I did indeed, wasn't sure on the Toy, but I was going to get the DVD anyway, so thought what the hey.
Haven't had a chance to even open the box and look at the toy, let alone watch the DVD. Life is a little bit mental at the moment.
I want to savour the DVD and watch properly, as soon as I get the chance, you will be the first to get a full review :)

In short it was very very good, not quite awesome but very close.
The added bonus full length interviews were a great bonus.
If your remotely a fan of the vinyl scene, I say buy it now.
Well worth repeat viewings.
Lovely soundtrack also.

My bad, I didn't find this one when I created the other entry.
Sorry about that.
