Saw a show he had here in NYC. This little fellow was in the show. Dreaming of one day owning this.
-
wasn't this around $1000 or $2000 retail?
-
Around USD 1,000. It's now a hefty price for a toy, but considering one of his paintings sold for USD 750,000... I still regret not getting the Jeff Koons puppy vase for USD 300 when it was released, and now it's about USD 12,000, or more.

So when did you get this and how much was it when you got it?

Arguably the greatest vinyl toy ever created, and the entire comment thread is just people trying to flip. Haha
-
Is it made of vinyl? It looks like resin to me...
-
It is. I was using "vinyl toy" as a general description for the scene.
-
Do you if the other ones are also made of resin? The obey and Margaret Kilgallen ones look like vinyl toys...
-
The osgemeos figure is vinyl.
-
Really? The Os gĂȘmeos one I would swear was made of resin!
-
Vinyl. I have it. osgemeos are the artists. There's no name. The figure is known as "osgemeos Tokion figure". It's based on a character recurrent in their work.

Yeah, definitely not resin. you can flip open the head to reveal a giant paint pen. Fill him up and paint and go bomb some walls.
-
How about Margaret Kilgallen's and Obey's? I've been thinking about getting those two, but i don't like resin toys, so, if someone should know if the other ones are made of resin or vinyl... :o)

Total fail. Had one in my cart, started checkout, hit "submit" and the cart went back to "0".

That really peeves me. It really is a matter of who checks out the fastest.
I didn't try for the dunny, but I'm preparing myself for that same disappointment with the White Copperhead and Dead Bunny releases. Hope I'm wrong, though. -
15 years ago
How much did it sell for initially?
-
$9.95
-
totally agree- I got screwed here too. If anyone has one they want to trade (I wont pay $100 for a not-great $9 dunny)- let me know (dan (at) minordemons (dot) com)- I have a list here of pieces- see if theres anything you want!
-
LOL @ $250 joking right?
-
My thoughts exactly.
-
You may not like the design, but this is one on the rarest 3" dunnies ever released. Only 100 were made. As rare as the green Humbug, and not as rare only as the three rarer wood dunnies and possibly the Hollywood dunnies.

I'm looking for several Suckadelic figures (to buy or have others to trade)- it's my quest for 2010! Most of them aren't on here, but I've made a chart on flickr. I would like this three pack, though the most important is the GID-starstalk-on-card that I stupidly missed!
Again, I have some doubles but they're really to trade for others- and lots of other great pieces of vinyl, most that I'm willing to trade for the sucks I'm missing!
Suckadelic chart:

I WTB/T these! (I am searching for these):
1. Sucklord 660 (full size figure) (2008)
2. Sucklord 61 - Kidrobot exclusive figure, ed. 103 (2007)
3. Sucklord 66 (2004)
4. Sucklord 75 (2005)
5. Sucklord 77 (2005)
6. Sucklord 78 - High Five exclusive, ed. 15 (2006)
7. Star Chumps - Steve (2007)
8. The Space War - Proto-Villain (2007)
9. The Necromancer (not plug) (2005)
13. Starstalk (2009)
14. The Surge (SDCC 2007) - ed. 50
15. Sucklord 69 (SDCC 2006) - ed. 103

-
Sam are you saying that you want this too? I'm so easily confused!!
-
@Sam: more than twice the one with the rose? ;)
-
I think these original Lapins are amazing. Best things he's done - the factory ones lack charm.
I sold my larger Lapin with rose...kinda regret that! -
14 years ago
Eppp you sold him ... this is sadens me :(
Sam - fingers crossed one day you will stumble across him! :)

I just listed one of these in my amazon bookstore (in addition to toys, I also collect books and this is where I sell off some of them).
I also added more pics, becuase this is way more gorgeous than the above pic suggests.
