This is so good, it makes me want to buy this one then go find Darth Vader and Stormtrooper. To heck with the mortgage!
-
If I can get one of these I have no doubt I will go after Vader and the Stormy even at the crazy prices!!
-

Not sure it works by itself, kinda needs one of the other 2 (or even both) to make sense of it. Which I think is the problem with the current spat of releases, all they serve to do is bump up the price of the previous releases because they are more "companion" pieces than stand alone releases. I think thats why Astro Boy was so awesome! It kinda works all by itself, and for a piece of that size, quality and limited numbers, what a great price.

Agree on the previous releases, but I think Boba is iconic enough to carry a shelf on his own. Part of me is now worried that KAWS might release dozens of $300 Star Wars figures, do the whole catalog. And another part of me thinks that would be awesome.
-

I think this is by far better than his last releases, it's not just putting some X-eyes and bones on some well-known characters. But I believe they will be very pricey. By the way, shouldn't the year be 2013?

Ha, yeah sorry. I'm an accountant so it's still 2012 for me.

I think if I knew it was gonna be part of a range, I'd buy it so I could add some more Star KAWS and start another collection/obsession. But I'm pretty sure I'd never afford the Storm Trooper or Vader, so I'd give it a miss if this is the 3rd and final Star KAWS release. What to do, what to do....
Looks a little over complicated compared to his over releases, so much more going on. I think I prefer his simplistic designs. -

you can pick up stormtrooper for about £300( i paid that) ,the vaders are the problem . if i get this and have a stormtrooper it wont be the set with out lord vader :(
-

I'd kill for this one, but it being a Japan Exclusive means I'll probably never get one. :( oh well

when i saw the manufacturer is was shocked!!!! really?! the loyal subjects bring out such - excuse my language and frustration - crap?!
it doesn't feel, like they put any deeper thought in their new platform, nor their characters, which i find plain boring and way disappointing.
way to NOT go, guys -

And honestly, this chibi big-head thing has been done to death, so unless someone comes up with a fresh approach we don't need any more pop-culture chibi things, thank you

Looks like a cross between a Dunny and a Mighty Mugg. No likey. Hope the Transformer ones are much better!
-
Mighty Muggs is exactly what I thought of when i saw these! And Hasbro already made G.I. Joe Mighty Muggs. I don't get why they're just rehashing something that's come before. Where's the creativity and orginality? I had high hopes we might get some really cool G.I. Joe & Transformers toys from TLS but I guess not. Here's hoping Super7 does something cool with their Transformers license.

Why people buying those? Just for nostalgic value?
I am from behind the iron curtain, so I didn't grow up with GIJoe and Transformers, so these properties doesn't speak to me at all. -

I grew up adoring both the shows, but I still find these figures completely unappealing. Something about the way they are designed- yes, very close to the Kidrobot aesthetic- disappointing.

agreed, lordy! those bodies throw me off sooo much! what the fudgepacking shoot where they thinking? why is everyone getting so goddarn lazy and uncreative nowadays?

These specifically do nothing for me. But some things I buy for nostalgia, other things in those realms just have their aesthetic seared into my brain and I find it cool

It's official! We dub thee Dunny Muggs!
To me they look more like the offspring of a Mighty Mugg and a Mez-Itz: http://rotocasted.com/library... -

Never noticed this from the lucky bag, what are the guts like?
-

Didn't know this existed neither, until I got it in a lucky bag yesterday. It doesn't have any guts as you can see, only a slightly yellowish color, looks even better in person.

There have been clear unpainted Mummy Boys around for a while. I know they were available at a few different SDCCs for Brian to doodle on. At one point there were a few on display at the store, but I was never able to get my hands on one.

Ooh, i was really wanted to pick one of these up. I wonder if the "regular" release will have packaging? I couldn't tell if there really is a difference between the artshow/DCon release version and the wide release version.
