@jesterpuppet- that was a reference to a previous "discussion" on this site as to what was or wasn't a suitable toy to post here.
There was a designer clock that was being argued about.....you had to be there really :) -
-
I never would have seen that clock if it wasn't for rotocasted. This thing.... not excited about.
-
You can only post this if there is a clock in the background.
(it has begun!!!!) -

ah I see, this one, isn't it?

Hmm, so this kind of robot toy shouldn't be posted here? Just for "art / designer toy" ? Thanks :)
-
I think this toy is entirely acceptable. It is a "Toy Library" after all.
Eventually it will be broken down in to sub sections (as fas as I know) to keep everyone happy. -
13 years ago
Yeah, because what's important is that we please the toy tyrants...I hate to see grown people cry...

No offence, but I feel the opposite. Love to see grown people cry...hate children doing the same! :)

I particularly love the nose- reminds me of this killer custom I will never own:

Mmm, yes, but I think it looks better on the dunny.

Reminds me of the girl in the closet at the beginning of the American "Ring." That was the only scary part of the movie.

this is, as you can see, part two in a series of mini toys from Siu. the first one was not produced by KR but was a capsule toy in Japan - http://rotocasted.com/toy/708... />I think Sony made them. the first series had stronger designs.
the designs are mini versions of Siu's larger speaker figure designs, of which I think this is the most famous - http://rotocasted.com/toy/911... -
-

i like the designs, i just think the build quality is poor

Hmmm... looks a lot like the Sun Tower by Taro Okamoto. It was built for the 1970 world exposition in Osaka.

a complete speaker family(the first series) is up for sale directly from jason siu- 10 toys for $45. check it:

nice one, i'm very tempted!!
-

If the series looked more organic like this example and there wasn't the annoying "appliance" conceit, these would be pretty cool.

The Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an apelike cryptid said to inhabit the Himalayan region of Nepal and Tibet.
Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, is an alleged ape-like creature purportedly inhabiting forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of North America. -
13 years ago
Bigfoot is American. Sasquatch is Canadian. I'm serious. :)

Sure, except maybe for the usual standing issue. Salvatore falls over easily, but his feet are adjustable, arms as well, so you just need to find a good balance!
THEY ARE CUTE, Mister, really cute. :) -
-
picked up from the post office today, i think from the smell of them that they are pvc, really cute but yes, not standing so well, his feet are a little soft and bent out of place for a nice even stand. still, overall im pleased

Got mine a couple of days ago in the Kidrobot store, so glad they had them because they've sold out online!
