theres definitely a gradient in this pic.

although it is worth noting that this formal i picked up has a lime green hat, and it looks like its yellow in this pic.. so maybe chima is just screwin with us ;)

    Hey,

Did any of you (except Auryn who speaks a bit Japanese and that doesn't count!) ever try to order from One Up?
They have a couple of cats I MUST have in my collection.
I have already written them an email through the contact link.
But do they understand English? Can I use PayPal?
Any advice would be appreciated :)

All I could find is what you have done already.

It says on the shop site:
International customers are welcome anytime! For international orders, please email us directly. Our email address can be found through the "contact" link.

On Kaiju Korner blog it also said:
If you see something you like, you can send One Up an e-mail to order it. They take Paypal and will ship overseas.

Yeah, no English. They will use translator software so keep the email very basic. If you can link to pictures, that would be best.

    Hello,

    May I order:

2.Please add 5% of total as a commission of PAYPAL.

Agent, no wrong! I only use Google translator when I want to upload a Japanese toy to the library.
Instead keep it VERY simple, like CoMus said, it worked for me.
    AND they are fucking cheap.

They aren't sculpted in resin, they're cast. The basic figure can be made of whatever you want I guess, then you make a negative mold where you pour liquid resin into, which then hardens and voilà – you can make an infinite army of your own toys.

I have a fondness for resin art toys, I don't know what it is. Maybe the weight, the texture or the way resin holds detail differently to vinyl. If I could start collecting art toys again I think I'd have a particular focus on resin figures. I just love them very, very much...

Resin is boss. However, still love my vinyl. I do love the weight of a resin piece, yet I love the feel of a smooth Japanese vinyl piece...I know that sounds erotic, LOL, but you sofubi lovers know what I mean ;)

I am on a paint quest as well. I like a water-based paint for ease of use/clean-up/thinning for a brush. Yet, I am also experimenting with a paint called Mr. Color... a strongly pigmented paint that goes on thin, dries flat... email me if you like we can talk customizing auryndesign@gmail.com

auryn- for the acrylics i use, i usually use this stuff called 'pink soap'. it cleans and conditions the brush. it gets all the acrylic off and works very well. check it out if you use a lot of acrylic.. i use about a 50/50 of acrylic and 'graff' paint.. that stuff is so harsh on me brushes that i just use my crappy ones and have to dip em in acetone after im done with em..
