Thanks! They are kinda fake... they're put out by some shadowy company in China, I believe. They used to have a website, but now they just have a Twitter account and a Facebook page. They skirt riiiight along the edge of being bootleg toys, but the design is just different enough to avoid lawsuits. That said, they're pretty well-made... the vinyl on this one was nice and sturdy with a great surface for painting. The bigger ones can stand on their own, but the smaller ones have rounded feet and only work well as keychains or zipper pulls. I think Voltaire's Deady Bear "This Not Bootleg" toy used the Popobe Bear form.

yeah i just looked up alibaba and found dozen of chinese compaines producing popobe bears. yesterday i have even seen one on official ijin material blog as their collaboration (2007).

The simple reason is that you cannot change the currency from dollars when putting a "Where to buy?"-link up.
I think the common thing is to leave the price to zero, when the price is in euros or pounds.
But its not a big deal. Spamming just doesn't help anyone, that's all.
