It's quite a collection of depraved toys you're building up there, Vera.
What's the attraction? -
-

just in case I'm not the only one attracted by the "depraved" kittens (they are kittens, right?) they are up for pre-order at lulubelltoys

Vera you're not alone, I pre-ordered today from Lulubell Toy Bodega.

These are so adorably perverse. Then again, considering that I have half-naked maids in my collection, these seem pretty tame... thus, I ordered the hell out of them.

Letters on my 'Noogler' are all crooked, and not on a straight line. It's really different from this pic. Does anybody else have this problem?

On the back of my Noogler the word "Lucky" is blurred/smudged.
-
-
On mine the words on the back are fine, but 'Noogler' word is really crooked... Here's a pic - http://goo.gl/k0J9s
-
My Dok A is okay. The black lines aren't really sharp, but nothing really bad. The 'Noogler' is another story though... At first I thought it's supposed to be that way, but then when I double checked with this entry's photo, I found out that actually letters in the word are supposed to be straight.

I've listed some links to pics of a fake on the Rupture Android page. If the paint job isn't looking sharp, it could be a bootleg. Another give away is when the arms don't quite match the finish on the body and appear slightly shiny.
-
I'm 100% positive that my Androids are authentic. But 'Noogler' paintwork is a bit off.
-
Yeah, even the genuine ones can be a bit off. Fair point. With the fakes there are normally a few things that aren't quite right.

Will the toy collecting comunity ever get rid of bootlegs? Or is it an in-built consequence of "limited/ rare ratio" ?????

This is, IMO, the coolest colorway of all the Big Sals. I hope they eventually turn up some other place than S7. *fingers crossed*
I'm a bit reluctant paying $30.75 for international shipping!!!! :( -

31 is cheap man ! that's only like €20,- only for 1 figure it's expensive :(

Well, I only want this sole figure right now. The coolest on-line stores are the ones that differentiate between one toy and tons of toys. I've had one-pieces sent from the US for as little as 12 bucks! For mini figs even a fiver.
-
-
That is pretty expensive for shipping on one figure... I mean, shipping for something of a comparative size from Japan to the US is like $10.

I just shipped two magazines to Hong Kong and the cheapest option was $20. Is this the one single area that broadband always-on Internet cannot help? Incidentally, I chose "local pickup" for this figure to save myself the $6.60. Sorry folks overseas. Although, whenever I want to buy a toy from France, the shipping often eclipses the toy.
-
-
Magazines are expensive to ship because of how heavy they are. Vinyl and plastic are light, thus if stores actually shipped based on weight it would be pretty damn cheap. I've had Super7 stuff shipped overseas for about $7.

Jeremy - Really? usually HK shipping to Israel is the cheapest.
I don't know, the cheapest shipping option from S7 to Israel is 25$ even for one toy, which means it's tough getting a 30$ toy there... while Rotofugi say, will send me a bunch of toys for about 10$ and MPH a little over 15...
I'm not sure it is the actual shipping cost - either differing shipping methods or some places are just lazy to check the actual overseas prices. -

@lordsketch REALLY! I was shipping two copies of Design Bureau mag w/ my interview w/ Mark Landwehr to Coarse Toys in HK. When I got to the post office, and they told me the price, I was shocked, but I didn't want to "cheap out" on it :) Dealing with the post office here is such a chafe, but we should try to figure out a network of people in desirable cities who could use flat rate boxes to fulfill orders. I could REALLY use a man (or woman) in France! I'm not always flush with free time, but maybe with one or two others, I could volunteer to cover the San Francisco shops.

Guess what? I just ordered this new Big Sal from Neon Monster and I think they have changed their shipping costs as well. I had to pay excact the same as with S7, $30, so I ordered a whole bunch of toys. Isn't that swell? :- /

I'm gonna go for those three I put on my wish list. But they won't hardly stand on their own, so they come with an acrylic display piece?

Yeah they come with a stand in the box. Or if you join 2 together that stand.

There's 4 ways to display the Omis:
The weblink above from ToyPunkJan shows each piece on it's acrylic stand. What you can't see in the photos is that the acrylic stand has a small hole so you can hang it on the wall like a picture frame.
As Jazzydan mentioned you can snap 2 pieces together and make 1 toy that stands on it's own.
And if you have multiple pieces there the "Omi Wall" from Munky King that holds 9 pieces

Love the idea of the Omi Wall, but I don't think there is enough designs I like, to fill one.
-
I like the ideas of Omi for a custom or a really nice production piece that can be a nice wall feature, but for that I would want a larger size, like 10".

I wanted this until I saw it up close. It's only half a toy set against a clear plastic frame / case. If it was a whole 3D toy it would be way better.
-
-
It can be one 3D toy if you have the pink version. They can snap together :D I do like that you have different options on how to display it.

It just makes it way more expensive if you hAve to buy 2. I think it's a bit of a con myself so won't be buying on principal.
-
-
it is definitely not a marketing trick- to make you buy more. it is a new and quite innovative concept- inspired by asian opera masks.
they can be displayed in pairs, on the shelf and also on the wall. pretty cool -
14 years ago
I got my first one the other day, unfortunately not this lovely owly beauty, but I have to say I think it's a brilliant concept and it's been well executed in the final product :)

There are several ways to display the Omis.
1. Hang on wall. This weblink http://bit.ly/egrvF6 shows each piece on it's acrylic stand. What you can't see in the photos is that the acrylic stand has a small hole so you can hang it on the wall like a picture frame.
2. Make one free-standing figure by joining 2 together. You can snap 2 pieces together and make 1 toy that stands on it's own.
3. Make an "Omi Wall". If you have multiple pieces there's an "Omi Wall" you can buy from Munky King that holds 9 pieces
http://bit.ly/frd8JY
4. And a single figure can be displayed on it's acrylic stand. -
