I held this in my hands in Portland. Oh, and both Keiko and Kaori were sitting on a nearby shelf. I thought, "I can buy something better with my money." Turns out I was wrong. Worst 3 mistakes of my toy collecting life. :)

There's one on the Bay right now!
-

Yup. Saw it and passed. I always have a problem with buying something for nearly twice it was originally. Not that values don't appreciate. It's the bank account that has a problem. :)

I'm glad to hear that it made it safe...I was pretty stressed about shipping over seas...

Nice, but too expensive for a 6" toy with an edition of 300.

Due to the popularity and rarity of the rupture dunny, I don't think it is the worst thing in the world. I can definitely understand where you're coming from though..
-
Yup. Still hot.
-
Rupture is kind of a trademark design of Dok A, and it was applied to other figures, not only dunny.
I like it on Android platform, it looks pretty good. -
14 years ago
Rapture really does suite Android! :>
-
yeah, droids suck
but rupture is sweet
yes it took the art out
and rupture still looks good on the platform -

This is a nice design but doesn't really go with my other Dok A pieces that are all neo-Victorian industrial steam-punk designed.

Just received a fake one of these from an eBay seller. The paint job is poor and smudged when compared to the genuine article. The Android lettering on the back is less cleanly defined. There are also some subtle differences to the box design. Not happy.

That's just horrible! Sorry to hear this bro!
-

Thanks, no reply from seller...yet.
Aside from the poor paint job, the arms on the fake don't quite match the body and appear slightly glossy, and the seam along the arms is much more obvious. The antenna is also 1mm longer on the fake.
Here are some more pics that could stop other people getting their fingers burnt

Is there trouble with these being bootlegged? There's a seller on ebay with these, and other BWWT bearbricks, but no boxes.

Not bootleg - the bwwt bearbricks were sold in sets of five and not in individual boxes :)

It has to be a copy of something? They seem to be based on other designs. i.e. the Mist one.
-

I wish I knew where to get on of these -- someone on the KR forums had a bunch in different colors, but I was too slow...

I'm confused -- is "Mistake" an actual series of Qee? I've had a hard time finding information about it with The Googles.
-

All I know is that Jaime Hayon did a series called Misstake. I'm not sure if other artists also did though.

USPS brought it to my house today, didn't bother to ring the doorbell, then refused to deliver it because I wasn't there to sign for it. UNHAPPY.

@maquetteCity - There's a few more in the pipeline. :) I'm not sure exactly who did the sculpt. It's one of Andy's team at Crazylabel. I was really impressed by all the sculpts. There's pics on my blog of the earlier versions.
