I checked Amos Japan just now, but I only see red available for the Generic Character toy. Odd because the other characters aren't even listed as sold out; they're just not there...

You are all extremely bad influences and good friends :) I followed Lordsketch's link and advice above. It seems I hadn't pulled down the drop-down menu, where all colors appear to still be available. I went ahead and placed my order for the green one. I'm now awaiting the Amos Japan confirmation and Paypal invoice. This feels like owning a part of history somehow, and someday I'll get around to writing a blog post about it! Thanks guys!

For snyone interested - you can still order these from the Amos japan store - http://www.amostoystore.jp/ />it's not cheap with the shipping and you have to struggle with some Japanese but they do deliver internationally.
And I love it :)
