: ( I'm not hating on you. I love how straight-up you are, and I'm glad that people are coming together on this piece and that AV should diversify her work... : (
If fliphappy wasn't around to have a different opinion, things would be boring and I love him for that! (and so should everyone else) Even so, I also agree on this, I have been waiting for another figure from her for some time.
Also, some figures replicating the wood treatment (like that sweet bat by Gary Ham) are cool but I would prefer this toy in wood.
Its not a complicated form so why not get a developing nation to make them? You can spin that for sales, while helping people out! Now that would make an interesting continued release of this toy from Amanda rather than other objects it eats.
@ CoMus That's an idea. Jibibuts are said to be made from sustainably grown/harvested trees. Still, I don't know whether Noferin is using fair trade labor or what. Here's a cool place to buy fairly traded housewares and decor from all over the world, and as far as price goes, some of the items are cheap, while others I would compare to spending $40 on a 3-inch piece of vinyl. :) http://www.tenthousandvillage...

You're right, I think the only Visell pieces I really love are the seahorses.

seems like she took your advice about the vinyl toy with wooden textured surface.
