flip - I don't think it's that strange - we can rationalize paying a lot for what we would consider art because we were taught art as a high market price. Personally it's easier for me to shell out the dough when I know the money goes directly to an artist rather then a corporation.

personally, besides my designer toys I have some action figures and assorted comic book and animation character toys, and some sculptures - Batman, Superman, and Weta LOTR stuff.

Dressed in the shirt, suit, belt and shoes the character wears for the bank robbery scene in the movie, the figure stands approximately 12 inches tall and features more than 32 points of articulation.
