someone needs to find me this, Neth Creatures are my 'Most wanted' toys (except the flocked sdcc one)
-
I love my Neth Creatures and it's been a HUGE battle trying to get them all. I am missing 5 SDCC ones. :(
-

you don't want to give it to me then ;)
-

Not a chance, they will be buried with me. But if you want to find out what plot and bring a shovel then they could be all yours. LOL!

Could you imagine an army of them ... all different colours ... adorable. Delicious, even!
-
delicious, you say? an army of them would eat all the food in the world.
we could call it "invasion" (but of course I am willing to take the risk and open my gates in front of that army, haha) -

how much did they cost?
-
They'll be available via the CP Sale April 29th. 100 bucks gets you the figure and a deluxe 36 page catalogue of the Japan exhibition, signed and sketched by Chris, Brandt and Kathie. Proceeds go to Japan relief as well.

A one off piece I made for the handmade toy swap on SMYV.
Has a glossy wet look with clear resin water droplets. -

awesome!

Thanks :)
-

They are all pretty cool. Why so expensive? :( It's a rhetorical question.
-
Just curious which ones you're talking about? This isn't even for sale :) I don't think any of my stuff is expensive!
-
i was wondering that too...
Jazzy, in your wishlist eh. still time to make something for the swap and stand a shot a getting this ;) -
13 years ago
I find it surprising that many pieces are so cheap (in the general community) compared to the hours and materials put into their pieces.
-
Here here. surprisingly the hand made / small run ones are cheaper than the more mass produced big business ones. Perhaps the artists under value their work or they just ask for what it actually costs, cutting out the middle men? personally i dont mind, my preference is always to buy direct from the artist if possible.
-
For me personally, I hate to have stuff hanging around. I make so many pieces that unless I price them well I'd run out of storage space.
I don't even want to think about the time factor and how little I'm getting per hour! -
13 years ago
DMS I have an awesome idea for your next release, I'll email you :)
-
Now I'm intrigued mate!
-
I stand corrected, and I extend my apologies, DMS. My comment was naive, and it is no excuse, but I think I thought you designed some other toys that I found to be out of my price range....

So, humble foot pie. All up in my grill. -
13 years ago
I wouldn't call Cris Rose's toys expensive either. When you consider the cost of materials, and the time and effort that goes into them, Bargain! The fact they all sell out in minutes backs that up. Plus the designs are often far better than most production toys.

the ethics of bootlegging a bootlegger, discuss?
-
I have to admit I love it! I'm sure there will be plenty who don't get the irony though. He's not only bootlegging the figure but the artist and even their company too! What a Schmuck! Love it.
Makes me wonder if the quote Sucklord gave was intended to be ironic as it's basically describing what he did with the Star Wars figures! -
13 years ago
I don't see anything unethical as long as you're not trying to trick the buyer. This might even be cooler than the original, which I guess is what makes Sucklord butthurt.
-
Well, I guess that's the interesting question. If he isn't butthurt, he's cooler, if he is, this piece is cooler.
-
all i know for sure is i like this. (and that there will definitely be some people who moan about this) as long as someone butthurts (maybe i just like typing that!!!)
-
I guess we'll probably never know but all this talk is making my butt hurt!
-
I just want to say butt hurt, its funny.
I think this is fine as a one off but if he does this for every release, not so cool

As far as I know it's a test version and there is a small run planned. Don't know about his future plans as he's currently incarcerated.
-

Junk Male has asked me to sell this for him so it'll be up on a store I've set up for him later today. He's in good spirits and is making junk toys and plotting more bootleg schemes for his release!
-
Sold out.
-
Yo DMS, will any more of these ever be available? Please let me know.
-
Spoke to Junk Male yesterday, he's home in a week and the full run of these with a brand new figure will be coming soon :)
-
Will do mate :)
He's even sorted out a way to make vinyl capes for these like the retro star wars figures! -
13 years ago
yo! back home now & starting on the proper run of the schmucklord! out soon.
-
the sucklord himself just reserved 3 of these on the behalf of his collectors!
full run of 48 (even bootlegged his 66 run number!) coming soon... -
13 years ago
I heard today that these WILL be coming out! I did hear the exact opposite a couple weeks ago though so we'll have to wait and see.

-

-
Funny Shankweather! Schmuckladelic? Would be funny if this developed into chain bootlegging!
-
A bootleg artist bootlegging the bootleg of yet another bootleg? Sounds like a good idea!
-
Definitely! Chain bootlegging :)
-
for those interested in this follow @Schmucklord
saw he tweeted that he will be releasing the full run of this bootleg soon. (maybe it's really shank?) -
