:-( Just opened a case of these - and both of these two particular toys had their head snapped off (placed in the middle of the case)

I only own this one from the series, but it has the head snapped off, just like you described.

Idea: The pluralis form in the name of the toy indicates that the head is MEANT to be snapped off. That way you can choose the main face yourself? Huh?

Trexis heads' usually turn. This one must be defective somehow, since that's a couple pieces where it's just snapped right off.

Odd, I have this one, and mine also arrived with a snapped neck, I just superglued it back on though ;)

I had 3 off these sent back from customers a few years back with broken necks, the material is really shitty :)

Still waiting for mine. Excited! He's a handsome little fella. Did you have troubles with plugging his arm into the body, Maq?

No worries Maq ! Despite I spend a lot of time on Roto, often some comments slip my attention. I concentrate on the toys!
I knew you could handle it! ;p -

Hey Jan, it was a factory mistake (not mine). I did sort it for you! ;)

Ooo Cafepop, are you on Rotocasted too? Small world! And you're right, it was a factory mistake. The shoes and arms etc. were all blindbagged. I take my earlier comment back.
In fact you gave me one of the best customer services ever. Thank you. Humpty Djinn is now complete and I love the little guy :) -

Has anyone else had trouble with this guy? Mine just turned up, and I'm not impressed. Seems it was packed with the paint wet, and it has peeled off onto the inside of the plastic cover!

Don't think so, I brought it from newbury comics. I'll post some pics. I'm gonna take them to send to Newbury Comics anyway. Hopefully they can sort me a replacement. It got stuck in customs for a month also, and cost me £12 to get it out again. Getting this Gold Smash has proved a challenge :(

Toy2R has been known to have wet paint QC issues. I had a pink Yoya Monkey that sneezed inside his box, so there was a white mark inside the transparent plastic near his nose.

I have emailed newbury comics, fingers crossed :) -

Originally offered me a 15% discount. But have agreed to replace the item, if I return it. But they are going to refund return postage, so I'm happy.
-

Full refund, offered once they discovered the cost of returning was equal to the cost of the toy.
A+ for newbury comics customer service. -

Just finished opening a sealed case of this series. All the arms are sticky, is this normal?
Is the vinyl sweating where they have been sealed for 2 years?
Best way to dry them out? -
No real way to dry them out, they go less sticky with time but never fully dry, its a problem with this specific series.
Sucks huh? -

Ah... I'm actually pleased to hear this...
I got this particular one recently too and was concerned about the sticky soft arms. I was worried it was a fake or had been repaired. -
-
In this series the arms are not vinyl so they had to use a different kind of ink that's sticky. The most recent series don't have this problem.

bad form by KR yet again!! and people wonder why I love toy2r!

I customized one from the series this week - the paint came right off the arms when I tried clearing them... it was this sticky goo and most of it came off with a tissue - I was glad I'm customizing it and not keeping it!

Is it true that dunny arms are made from PVC?

Yeah - tacky arms are a common problem with Series 5.
-
-
Both my Mist's have sticky arms, havent dried out in over a year...
-
The problem with these series is that the arms are not made of vinyl, but of PVC, so the ink is like that. Kidrobot has corrected that in the more recent series.
