-

No, I think you're right – what a great idea. :D
Just found info on this here: http://www.vinylpulse.com/201... -

Genius! Thanks :)
-
You don't half come across some very odd creations whilst browsing this site :)
-
Ahh and this is why I love rotocasted, popping up in the feed for me to see. This is zany I have to own one.
Their website is a mess so I will see how I go with the email linked on vinyl pulse. -
14 years ago
I think it's so weird I actually want it. :)
-
I haven't got an email back from them, anyone know of a way to get one?
-
OK I brought one!
-
How?! Please inform me :)
-
I'll add a where to buy link :)
-
Cheers for that Jazzydan!
-
Your welcome, did you get one?
-
Ordered one just now :D
-
Superb!!
-
Do you have one in your hands yet? Wanting to know the QC on it.
-
Not yet, hoping to have it next week. I'm hoping its pretty good, $40 for a 5" figure isn't cheap.
-
Just got mine, and I'm impressed. QC looks good!
-
I am still waiting for shipping details, haven't even got a reply to my inquiry. (13 days later, nothing and I have paid)
-
3DRetro worked pretty well for me. There's a "Where to buy" link on the right side of this page.
-
Yeah, ordered from 3Dretro. Paid, have receipt, yet no shipping confirmation sent to me. So I inquired to see if it was shipped/status of order and no reply. Sadface
-
I'm in the same boat CoMus, not very impressed by 3Dretro.
-
Now that is a bit of a worry, I wonder if anyone else has had problems with 3Dretro?

My friends parcel was sent 4 months after he placed the order with them. It had an extra toy as "apology", but still. :)
-
They are claiming mine has been shipped, but are unable to supply tracking info, and they haven't taken the money from my account (As far as I can work out). I ordered from more than 8 US shops on the same day, and everyone else managed to get me my stuff ages ago.
-
Right now I would feel a bit safer with just an email response.
They should have sent you a tracking number, especially considering shipping would have been $$ like me (AUS) -
14 years ago
You'd expect more from a high profile store wouldn't you. I'll chase em up again tonight.
-
Just got a non impressive reply.
__________

We see order was shipped to Australia, c/o (My name and business).
Thanks

That was all, no name to reply to or anything. I replied asking for a tracking number, lets see what happens. -

This is what I got...
"Dan it was shipped. The transition to our new cart didnt carry over the
tracking info, sorry for the inconvenience as we have the warehouse
re-apply the info."
I have chased em up again. -
i'm a little dissapointed with this figure.
The design is awesome and i love it, but it made from soft vinyl, it become like a cheap toy if u grab and squeeze it.
If the figure made from hard vinyl it would be perfect. -
14 years ago
crap so if and when it does turn up, it will be disappointing :(
-
Personally I would like this piece soft considering what's all over its body :P
-

Good point ;)
-

This is just pathetic, how is it going on your end? Any reply? I haven't got anything...

Jazzy, I received mine today!
3D Retro was very disappointing with communication/customer service. I can happily sit and wait :P I just like to know what is happening! They might only ship once a week and it "just missed out on that weeks shipment" but all you have to do is tell me, especially when I enquire.
23/09/10 my order was placed, I enquired on the 6th (just under two weeks later) as I had not received a shipment email. They replied on the 8th saying it had already been shipped. Looking at the postage stamp it was shipped on the 8th.... Also the email was logged 8th Australian time, I cant be bothered doing the maths but I have a feeling that the package was sent on the 9th (Australian time) and I was told it was shipped before it had actually been shipped?!
Why didn't they just say "your item was sent out today, here is your tracking number" that would have solved it. Yet it wasn't even registered post.....
Now I get my package (perfectly boxed by the way, very happy with their packaging) and the postal cost on the box is 4.20, I paid 15 for shipping.... it should have been registered but the "Handling" is quite high i guess :( -
14 years ago
Now to review the toy:
Yes, it is quite soft, rubber ducky soft :P but it keeps its form so when its on the shelf, there is nothing to complain about.
The main thing I am disappointed about is the vinyl quality. It should be white but its a murky light grey. The "nipples" paint is too light and greyish rather than the pinkish hue in the photo; this is due to the low quality paint they used I gather.
The box that it came in was really neat! You open the box and the piece is within a cloth bag (then in another plastic bag). The design and sculpt is perfect! But I am used to Japanese vinyl quality and its a shame this sculpt was manufactured in china.
I also got number 89/300
So its really sweet but its just a shame about the production quality :( -
14 years ago
Still no news for me, very disappointing. Sounds like the toy is a bit disappointing also, shame!
-
I have to disagree with CoMus. The vinyl in the picture is also light grey, and I think it's a good choice for this toy. It's true that the nipples are a bit more purple than pink, but I think they look pretty good -- and, again, pretty close to those in the picture. I know it's fashionable to complain about QC from China, but in this case I think the QC is just fine. I'm really happy with mine!
-
Oh the Quallity is perfect, for the production methods used. I would have just liked it whiter than it actually is. Either way, I am very happy with it :D very nice piece!
-
He's here, and I'm not disappointed. Awesome art toy. Love the colour, and the vinyl isn't that soft, you wouldn't know unless you picked it up and squeezed ;)

Interesting fact, latest episode (148) of Toybreak Ben (owner of 3Dretro) addresses the issues we faced. It turns out the web-server wasn't correctly working. So it might fix the customer service side?
-

Lets hope so. I'd like to order from Ben again some time. I didn't realise he was running the place pretty much solo on top of a day job!

Got a couple of these guys Today. Pulled the Green, and this one. Anyone worked out quite how many variants there are? I've seen loads.
-
http://collect3d.com/wp-conte... />This I think would answer your question... although I think the photo has been flipped because all the chase ones I have are clear/sparkly/GID on the right hand side of the brain. You got the green chase?
-
Nah just the standard green. How many do you have now?
-
How many in total? 23. Nearly all of the initial set excluding the yellow, black/GID, white/GID, yellow/GID chases, this one ^, the silver one, 3 spare blacks, 2 spare whites, 2 spare reds, 2 spare greens, 1 spare magenta and 1 spare dark blue. I have a whole army... I got 10 from tokyotoystore.co.uk when they had a sale on but only managed to pull cyan and yellow/GID that I didn't have, rest were dupes.
-
Wow thats a lot of frogs!!
You should paint some, do some custom colour schemes! -
14 years ago
I know, I really should take a photo of them all in a group :) I was going to sell my spares on eBay but as I like them a little bit too much I can't bare to let them go... might try and do a pastel colour custom range :D
-
That would be cool, or you could paint them to look like real breeds of exotic frogs, theres some real pretty ones, just do a google image search.
-
Cheers for the idea :)
-
Hey Elissa, if you want to get rid of your dupes of these at a good price, im up for buying them from you and also muling from vinyl shops close to me :)
-
Sorry, I traded all my spares for the chase halfsies I needed from Emilio Garcia directly!
-
You can do that? :D I can get hold the chase halfsies just not anymore of the plain colours
-
Well, if I recall I asked him nicely if he had any halfsies left. Although after the swap I realised I'm still missing the glittery brain with the GID innards :/

Anyone help me out on this one? What is it? Is it a Qee? Is it on the collector Cards?
Its like a lego mini fig version of a Qee. It has the keychain and the logo on the chest. I'm very confused.

I brought it thinking it was the mini-qee, but obviously not. Now it's just thrown me completely. I'm normally pretty good with Toy2r stuff. Where's Raymond when you need him.

Here's the answer.
Sergey,
Thank you for your inquiry about the toy in question at http://rotocasted.com/toy/662... />
It is indeed an older Toy2R product.
Before we designed the Qee figure - prodcution ideas were still focused on a mini block platform figure. This was one of a very few original 2 inch figure designed by Raymond Choy. It was one of the first forms of a Keychain Block Figure he came up with. In fact it was titled TOYER (as shown on the package) and look how much it has evolved.
As with all of Toy2R products - Raymond continued to work on the design until he finally developed the iconic Qee Figure. From there the rest is history - but this figure in question is basically how it all got started. As you can see from the line drawing on the package - the look was basic and humaniod at first but with a little work - the Qee finally came to be, paving the way for Toy2R and many other block companies to follow.
I hope that answers your question and if you have any more - do not hesitate to contact us again.
Thank you for your support and keep up the great work on your website!
Sincerely,
Kevin
