I moved and have nowhere in my new place to display this piece - need to sell it but don't know it's worth - any ideas? I can't even remember what it cost and can't find one on Ebay.
-

You could store it away and feel great happiness when you dust it off again. I have quite a few seasonal toys that only make it out during Easter and Halloween. Congrats on a new place. :)

Flippers holy grail.
-
Lots of BS surrounding this figure. I'm happy I have one ... it's the closest to a Huck custom I'm ever gonna get.
-
Got ours off eBay for $202.50 free shipping. Hell of a lot cheaper than going out there and standing in line. LoL
-

I don't see a problem with flipping. I got two and flipped one. I wasn't planning on flipping it. I was going to use it to trade for a Filth dunny, but when i got home one just sold on ebay for $600. So i put one for $510 with a Mustard, Pon golden ticket, and DJ Lance Dunny and it sold within an hour. Hate all you want. Those $500 are going back in the toy fund.
-

can't hate on that^. spend on.
-
I don't hate on anyone making a profit, the problem with flipping is that it drives prices up, make many pieces unreachable for the average collector. *shrug*
-
This is my second go around collecting and the Huck Gee was the only thing I ever flipped. You do have a point yourjello, but it seems the price for several Kidrobot SDCC 8" dunnys stays around mid to low $200. Overall prices seem to be coming down.
-
mid to low $200's- that's a 150% increase. Remember when the 8" dunnys cost just $50? Good times.....
-
I don't think I will ever understand the dunny love... That price jump is insane!
-
Yeah, I avoid spending all that money by not lusting after Dunny.
-

me too! there's better stuff out there than KR!
ohhhh did she just say that??!

Bought this at Super7's Comic-Con booth and must say the photos don't do it justice, it looks even better in person.

@MaquetteCity I've seen websites describing this piece as "5" tall soft vinyl". It's not super soft but not rock hard either.
You can squeeze the ears, they're very soft.
Jointed at the shoulder, neck and trunk. -

I agree, lordsketch. If only it made musical little clanging noises when it moves around.

How is this a Kubrick? I don't collect them, but it doesn't seem to have any recognizable Kubrick attributes.

Kinda like the new LEGO Toy Story minifigs. They don't look anything like LEGO other than the holes in their feet.

Medicom does it every now and then, some people like it some don't. I don't mind if I like the character :)

Another amazing design from Jled.
But unfortunately it comes with another ridiculous price tag to match!
I'm thinking of removing him from my collection if he keeps increasing his prices like this. -
14 years ago
Does JLed pay homage to the cartoon "Ice Age" ? Or it's only my feeling ? Sabertooth + mammoth... where is the exasperating sloth ? ^^
-
How ridiculous is the price tag? I'm intrigued :)
-

The set is limited to 415 units and will retail between $155.00-$165.00USD. Available Mid Fall. Pre-orders will start July 7th, 2010.

Ooft. Working out at over £100... I think I'll stick to building up my Qee collection first :)
-
Exactly what I was thinking, and the delivery costs will be epic, unless you find a UK stockist.
I have a truck load of Qee's for trade/sale if your interested. Been accumulating a big box of doubles in my mission to collect them all! -
14 years ago
Haha a lot of people are saying this is an Ice Age ripoff. I like the figure, especially the size, but JLED doesn't score any creative points for this one.
-

@Miranda "exasperating sloth," what an apt description.

Rotofugi says it's 5 inches tall and made by Toygraph. Super7 says it's 6 inches tall. Hello Vinyl says it was made by Super7. Anybody got the real scoop?
-
6" tall. Technically, it's a collaboration between Toygraph (Death Climax) and Super7.
-

Thanks. :)

I just ordered it from Rotofugi. I wish I could go see them at SDCC, get a few Lake Monsters.

I just read the Tristan Eaton's interview with Stephen Bliss on vinylpulse. What was screenprinted on the dollar yours came with? Was it red or black?

No dollar, which is odd, as I have it from new, supposedly.
In-fact I have a bunch of different thundermutts, and none of them have anything in the head.

What? That sounds like a rip-off. I've seen pictures of the dollars. If I bought that toy, it wouldn't be for the toy. It would be for the dollar.

Not really a rip off for me, as they didn't really cost me anything.
But I'd be propper miffed if I had.
