Wow! That's how gold looks on it now?

Yeah, I don't think these ever had an official release b/c of the way the gold turned to patina. Ironically, I don't often go for a straight-up gold colorway, but I LOVE the green-gold look of this figure.

Yes, this golden-green Booted Glamour Cat is rad!
I still need this one and the Ultra Violet to complete my cats...
I wish Scott Musgrove would do more toys. He has so many characters with a huge potential to become amazing toys! -

I completely agree with you!

There was an offer a while back to send in your gold Glamour Cat and have it repainted in gold paint that wouldn’t go green. I took advantage of it and have a nice gold one now. The green/gold is nice too, except when it oozes or bleeds on you. :)
-
They repainted the whole figure, or masked the eye, nose and mouth?
-
I am a sucker for rare, unreleased stuff so when I was graciously given this, I loved the fact that it was a factory reject... LOVE IT, and all the green ooze that it comes with :-)
-

wow, I don't have any funds now, but probably some other Musgrove fans* will be happy with my find -->
*go get it, Vadim, please be a completist for my sake :-) -

@amavevera
You're amazing!!! Thanks a lot! :)
I've been searching for ages for this colorway. -

Got my golden cat today, and I love it! Seems like it's a repainted version, because I don't have any gold-green oxidation.
Now my Booted Glamour Cats collection is complete. I got them all! :)

These Domo Qees are like crack to me. They make me break my own rules.

One of my favorite Domo designs. Can't wait for the 7" version.

Anyone help me out on this one? What is it? Is it a Qee? Is it on the collector Cards?
Its like a lego mini fig version of a Qee. It has the keychain and the logo on the chest. I'm very confused. -

Whoa, that's interesting. I'd like to know the story on that piece, too.
-

I brought it thinking it was the mini-qee, but obviously not. Now it's just thrown me completely. I'm normally pretty good with Toy2r stuff. Where's Raymond when you need him.

Here's the answer.
Sergey,
Thank you for your inquiry about the toy in question at http://rotocasted.com/toy/662... />
It is indeed an older Toy2R product.
Before we designed the Qee figure - prodcution ideas were still focused on a mini block platform figure. This was one of a very few original 2 inch figure designed by Raymond Choy. It was one of the first forms of a Keychain Block Figure he came up with. In fact it was titled TOYER (as shown on the package) and look how much it has evolved.
As with all of Toy2R products - Raymond continued to work on the design until he finally developed the iconic Qee Figure. From there the rest is history - but this figure in question is basically how it all got started. As you can see from the line drawing on the package - the look was basic and humaniod at first but with a little work - the Qee finally came to be, paving the way for Toy2R and many other block companies to follow.
I hope that answers your question and if you have any more - do not hesitate to contact us again.
Thank you for your support and keep up the great work on your website!
Sincerely,
Kevin -

Is this the only chase in series 2?
-
So that's the chase! It's so weird that this one and the turtle shell are the most rare-- others are more impressive. If anyone pulls this and wants to sell or trade, let me know-- only missing it and the GOLD from series 1 (I need this!)..!
-
Couldn't agree more, the chase is probably the least impressive in the set!!
-
There's also the GID skeleton. I'm posting a picture. There was a GID from the first series that I'm dying for - if anyone has for sell or trade, LMK.

This is a disappointing chase. For the folks who argue that it's all about the "thrill of the chase," the toy you're chasing should be worth it.
Not sure if I'll hang onto it for completion sake, or if I'd trade somebody for an uncommon one I don't already have. -
14 years ago
I definitely agree that this is one of, if not the most disappointing design in the series. The 1/30 circuit woulda made a better chase. But at least I have one now! :D
-

I think this little guy is awesome! For those of you who find him disappointing, send him my way, I'm DYING to get him!

Hey elissa, I'm working at Neon Monster today, and they've got two yellow jumping brains on display. You want one? I can buy it for you. I'm trying NOT to be a completist with jumping brains, but I'm sure we can trade something :)

I would like to know how is this toy in reality... How does it shine ? How is the feeling about the material : is it some soft vinyl, or not ? I hesitate to buy it... ;o) (because of the cost for shipping it to France !)
-
Ummm, you sure this isn't just a bunch of coin purses stacked on top of one another?
-
I don't have a Erosion but I have an Inc Bear and I took a photo of it in sunlight. Hope it gives you an idea of how it shines http://www.flickr.com/photos/... It is high quality Japanese Vinyl :)

This is an amazing colorway in soft Japanese vinyl. It's funny you liken it to coin purses. I got my first Instinctoy Inc Bear at One Up in Tokyo, where they have a huge pile of coin purses. I think it's not a bad association actually!
Tokyocube may still have a few of these left, though the matching Inc Bears are long gone. I think this toy works best as the companion to the Bear, as opposed to a standalone. That said, there are a ton of Erosions--probably more than Inc Bears, so somebody out there has a fantastic collection. -
14 years ago
Thanks a lot for your answers ! I love it because it's weird and cute at the same time ; a very strange toy... ;o) I saw a picture with a lot of Erosions in every colors (here : http://www.vinylpulse.com/200...) But this one seems to be the best !

were there other editions of this?
-
yes, but they were all limited hand-painted figures. the "original" one was red rather than the green on this one. Not sure where the green one came from - it was clearly a one-off!

I am going directly to Cris to ask. We must find out if my Domo has a twin separated at birth!
-
Punga is the secret child of this Domo and one of your other Domo o_O
-
Yep, i painted that. It is the one that i painted for and sent to Jeremyriad, and i mean the exact one - it has all the strokes, cuts and splats in the same place. Maybe it was a photo i took? I forget these things. There is no twin tho, even i am not that good at copying my own work lol
Btw it wasn't painted with a paint pen, it's the same brush and metallic paint process i always use, i just sprayed it with a cellulose laquer that causes the metallics to crack up, giving it a more distressed look. I then did the rusting over the top in matt acrylics :)
But then who was Punga? lol -

I *might* need this. Let me ponder. I've imposed a no more mini-figure rule here, but what are the chances I'll really be able to find a large Dr. Maybee? I commend you on your obsessive search :)
