I live in Le Adelaide, got Le last one. Not too sure how many there were but they were behind the table and only pulled out if you asked.

I'm not a 3A collector but I love to buy work off of the artists directly so I wasn't going to give that chance up. Was Adelaide the only release of this figure so far?
-

As far as I know, but I'm definitely no 3A expert.

This guy can sculpt!
After seeing what an amazing work he did on the Brain Bug Boogie-Man I seriously can't wait to play with this huge monster.
His sculpt is so incredibly detailed that a paint job probably just would spoil the fun. Haven't seen details like this since the Restore resins.
125 bucks at Lulu. -

What do people think of ultra detailed sculpts? For me, it isn't what I am really into when I want to buy an 'art toy'/sofubi. There are some insane vinyl kits out there of ultra detailed monsters and creatures and I feel they have their own world outside of the relm or art toys.
I still want this piece though! -

Detailed sculpts isn't a quality in itself for me. I think I know which figures out there you're talking about and they're not my taste either.
In this case however it works amazingly well - for me! -

"Childhood nostalgia" isn't normally what I think of with Keyes. It's all about tension and conflicting elements. I think it doesn't work as sculpture because some detail is lost and his art depends a lot on realism. Plus the water looks stupid.

I think the elephant bothers me more than the water. The animals in his prints look so life like, yet the elephant in this sculpt just doesn't look right. Maybe its the sculpting/sculptor thats the issue.

It's pretty but this isn't a toy.
Love the Carson Catlin customs but calling a laser cut acrylic cube a toy is really pushing it. Interesting piece but this isn't a toy.
Other opinions? -
I tend to and not to agree!
I think what we all pour our hard earned cash into is more 3d collectible art than 'a toy' to be fair and this definitely fits into that category!
I appreciate what Carson does, I don't own or want any of it because it doesn't fit with my collection but I do think that it deserves a place on here for sure ;) -
11 years ago
I vote Toy, I don't like it, but I'd display it with my other "toys", so Toy.

My kids play with toy cubes all the time ;) But certainly wouldn't be playing with this one!
I like how Andy puts it really. None of these 3D art collectibles are toys in the traditional sense. I think it belongs, especially since he is a well-known customizer with the more established bases in the scene.
Ah yes...clocks ;) -
Perhaps if it had a clock, I would reconsider my stance. ;P

When an established toy artist makes something that's not a toy, it usually gets a pass. But no this isn't really a toy.
Also, laser cutters are for chumps. Scroll saws all the way! -

Because their postage to Australia, is mental. I'm not paying more for postage, then for the toy.
